Dear QTTR Friends...

We received the most generous gift today!  Sharon from AZ, sent us 6 beautiful quilt tops and lots of great thread.  What a lifesaver!  I will get started quilting them tomorrow.  We have been contacted by 4 different rescues wanting quilts for September or October events that they are holding, so this gift could not have come at a better time.  I was feeling so overwhelmed, not knowing if I could get so many quilts done by myself in time for the events, and now, I feel so much better. ...Big sigh of relief....We also shipped out several quilts in the last month, and I need to build up the stockpiles again!  I really hope the auctions go well and lots of money is collected for the orphans.
We have so many new friends, all the cat  rescuers at Shadow Cats Rescue and Hospice, the folks at Save our Seniors, the Akita rescues and now Boxer rescue!  We have had a blurb published in Quilter's Newsletter, which resulted in several people contacting us to help out, which is SO wonderful.
Just when things get hard and overwhelming, something happens to make you feel hopeful and eager to try again.  Strange, isn't it?  I think animals intuitively know this, but it takes us humans a long time to learn from our furry friends.
Anyway, thanks again to all our supporters, and a HUGE thank you to our friend Sharon C. in A!

It has been too long since I lasted posted.  It is summer and time is just flying by.  It seems to go faster the older I get.  We have rescues requesting quilts and the machine is in the repair shop!  We were able to get three quilts out to Save our Seniors, Akita Rescue of Mid Atlantic Coast and  Eleventh Hour Rescue.  We will be sending one tomorrow to Shadow Cats Rescue and Hospice.  I hope to get the machine back soon, so I can fill the requests for quilts placed by Big East Akita Rescue, Have a Heart and another for Shadow Cats.  I really hope the auctions of these quilts brings in much needed funds.
On another note, I won second place and third place for quilts that I entered into the quilt shows.  Still need to win first place though!  Maybe in the future!  Again, thanks for listening and I do apologize for being gone for so long...
Woofs and Hugs,
Roschelle, Optimus (the senior rescued Akita) and Charlotte(the very geriatric cat)
