We have our first application!  Very exciting.  I think another round of emails will need to go out to the quilters and the rescues, giving them the link to the website and a nudge.

After seeing so many stunning quilts at the Folk Art Museum in NYC I feel rather inspired.  Amazing that historically, women were able to create such perfect quilts with so little.

My next few patterns are planned, but the planning takes far less time than the construction and execution.  I wish I could entertain leaving my day job, but Optimus the Akita does love a good meal and a nice vet visit...

An entire month has passed.  Some progress has been made, but not enough.
The IRS paperwork is almost complete and some people have come forward to pledge a quilt or their time.  Several rescue groups have expressed interest in this endeavor.
Hopefully, this summer will produce better results in terms of pledges and progress!
Meanwhile, we sit and wait for the IRS to give us their stamp of approval!
